A Look Back: Where Tarasvat’s Journey Began — SITEX 2019

Tarasvat at SITEX 2019, Surat

Back in January 2019, Tarasvat took part in SITEX — the Surat International Textile Expo, held at the Surat International Exhibition & Convention Centre, Sarsana, and organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI). It was one of our earliest exhibitions, at a time when our product range was still focused on a single core offering: our electronic jacquard controller and control panel.

We don’t have photos from that stall to share here, but the certificate of participation we received still sits with us today — a small reminder of how far the company has come since.

Every big journey starts with a single stall — for us, that was SITEX 2019.

What We Showcased

At the time, our jacquard controller was available across a few hook configurations, built to match the exact loom setup of each customer:

Electronic Jacquard Controller

Offered in 960 hook, 1056 hook, and 1248 hook configurations at the time, our electronic jacquard controller runs on a keypad or touch-screen interface, powered by 220V AC at 50Hz, with speeds of up to 600 RPM depending on the model. Patterns are stored either on a memory card or in built-in memory, letting operators switch designs quickly without needing a separate computer. The controller mounts directly onto a standard 48×48mm panel, is manufactured in India, and is backed by a 1-year warranty — the same build quality we carry through to every unit we make today.
